Contents
The course presents the lines of development of the social and emotional skills illustrating how emotions and meaningful relationships are interconnected across the life cycle. Starting from a careful examination of the quality components and processes involved in the evolution of significant emotional relationships it will be presented the bond of attachment, illustrating its features in children, adolescents and in adults. Part of the course will focus, in particular, on the link between development and moral development, meaning by the latter a process that requires emotional skills that could support an adequate process of recognizing and valuing the other person as a means for moral socialization. We will also present some assessment tools and discuss the methodological implications and applications of the theoretical aspects presented. The course contents are natural integration with the content presented in the course of guided practice “Assessment in socioemotional development” Please visit the lab “attachment and parenting” for further information about main projects associated to the course http://lag.unipv.it/index.php/en/ The contents and materials of the course are present and downloadable from the KIRO platform. Students will also be able to find the main slides used for teaching on the KIRO platform, as well as the video-recorded contents of similar lessons from previous years. The contents of the course will be addressed taking into consideration the ethical-deontological principles which, based on the specific theme of emotional and social development within the various educational agencies, will be described in detail by the teacher, both from a theoretical point of view and with a direct connection to practical activity (e.g. through the discussion of example cases) The study program DOES NOT provide differentiation between attending and non-attending students. However, due to the plurality of contents and the work in the classroom, presence is highly recommended
