1) Understanding the role of pathological anatomy within a modern integrated multidisciplinary diagnostic pathway, enhancing the aspects related both to traditional histopathology and to the application Of the most recent ancillary diagnostic techniques 2) Knowledge of major pathological alterations organs and systems as a cornerstone for an effective understanding of physiopathology and clinical features associated with the various diseases, especially the oral cavity.
Course Prerequisites
In order to be able to adequately address the pathological anatomy study, e then to undertake the examination, it is appropriate to have good knowledge of human anatomy and biology.
Teaching Methods
Lectures with both frontal and interactive teaching, practical exercises on diagnostic samples. Attendance of the macroscopic sampling Laboratory. The last part of the course will be seminary, students will be given some topics to keep in touch with, with their bibliography.
Assessment Methods
Evaluation by oral examination on the Knowledge of the pathological aspects of human diseases and on the capacity of critically interpret the meaning of ancillary and molecular examinations in the diagnostic context. The evaluation will also take into account the seminar expositions.
