- Students will be able to understand and define the principles of maternity care through a salutogenesis approach. - Students will develop critical thinking and knowledge on public health issues related to maternal and child health. - Students will understand Integrated Maternity Care models, as well as specific disciplinary areas of action and methods of interprofessional collaboration between nurses and midwives in different care settings. - Students must be able to define the concept of health outcome and outline the methodological principles related to the Delphi technique.
Course Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the research methodology’s principles.
Teaching Methods
The course utilises lectures and classroom exercises. PowerPoint presentations are used to conduct the lectures and are made available to students in the teaching section on the KIRO Moodle platform.
Assessment Methods
The learning test will be administered in written form and will consist of 15 multiple-choice or short-answer open-ended questions. The test is evaluated in thirtieths; for each correct answer, a maximum score of 2 points will be awarded. The test duration is one hour.

During the course, public health issues in the field of maternity care will be discussed.
