Acquiring the skills necessary for the creation and management of a university radio station, as well as the production of new audio media products.
Course Prerequisites
Interest in the specific communicative language presented by radio and the new listening products (podcasts, audiobooks, etc.). Intent to be involved in the establishment of a university radio station.
Teaching Methods
The lesson, which will address historical or theoretical topics, will always be accompanied by discussions that connect them to the students' experiences and abilities. It will alternate with essential hands-on moments in the available recording spaces, creating valuable lab sessions.
Assessment Methods
The unique structure and purpose of the course will tie the assessment to the direct ability to create and/or manage a radio program or another audio-media product (podcast, audiobook, audio documentary).

The starting point encompasses two aspects: on one side, the history of radio, and on the other, an analysis of the communicative relationships tied to the act of listening and the functions of hearing. Essential to this endeavor is the reference to exemplary programming and sound creation experiences. Sufficient emphasis will be placed on matters of radio technology and production in a broader sense, with the aim of building comprehensive skills that enable the management of various aspects of a radio station.
