The course intends to provide theoretical and cultural insights to support students in defining an architectural project. Through the identification of a specific bibliography and sitography, the accompaniment to the individual design work and the open debate, the aim is to develop the critical approach to the architectural project.
Course Prerequisites
The knowledge derived from the courses of Architecture and Architectural Composition 3 are preparatory. The necessary technical and theoretical knowledge and the application tools to define a complex urban project and to develop the project up to the scale of architectural and constructive detail of a building and open spaces are therefore to be considered prerequisites.

Contents
The course intends to deepen the theoretical issues of architecture and is organized in theoretical lessons to support the project. Through monographic lectures on authors and insights into specific topics, including the relationship between architecture and the environment understood as a context characterized by natural and cultural factors, the horizons of contemporary design will be defined. The identification of the specific themes will be defined in a dialectical way with the students also on the basis of their project theme. In fact, each student is called to define his own sphere of design intervention.
