501351 - Medical Therapy (M-Z)

Provide in-depth knowledge about the biological basis of human diseases.
Enable understanding of their pathogenetic
mechanisms deep into the molecular level and investigate causal
mechanisms of disorders of the fundamental organs
and systems. Master the related essential medical terminology. This in
order to create a path that orient the student toward professional
interaction both with other health professionals and with patients /
pharmacy customers.At the end of the course the student should have: -
the ability of clinical reasoning adequate to analyze and solve the most
common and relevant clinical problems of medical interest; -the ability to
correctly apply methodologies to detect clinical, functional and laboratory
findings, critically interpreting them also from a pathophysiological point
of view, for the purposes of diagnosis and prognosis and the ability to
evaluate the cost / benefit ratios in the choice of diagnostic procedures ; -
the ability to analyze and solve medical problems, assessing the
relationships between benefits, risks and costs in the light of the
principles of medicine based on evidence and diagnostic-therapeutic
appropriateness; - the ability to correctly set up a therapeutic program
within the most common and important clinical frameworks of medical
interest, knowing how to make choices in light of the principles of
oncologiche, ginecologiche, infettive, ematologiche, medicina di urgenza
ed emergenze geriatriche. Viene trattata la pianificazione dell’assistenza
alla persona con problemi di salute riferibili all’ambito medicospecialistico,
considerando le componenti preventiva, curativa e
riabilitativa. Si porrà particolare attenzione all’uso dei farmaci ed al ruolo
del Clinical Pharmacy.
