At the end of the laboratory, the student will be able to appropriately use the study tools and sources of information necessary for philological and literary research. They will also have acquired notions of the main rhythms and metres of Greek versification.
Course Prerequisites
Good knowledge of ancient Greek language and literature (high school level).
Teaching Methods
Lectures will be frontal-expositive, but personal exercises by the students (under the guidance of the lecturer) on the tools and methods illustrated in the lecture are planned.
Assessment Methods
The 3 cfu envisaged for the course will be awarded following an interview designed to verify attendance of the lectures and understanding of the content presented. The examination consists of a practical test: the student must present a case study involving the use of most of the resources illustrated in the lecture. As an alternative form of knowledge verification, the student may give an oral presentation during the course (Referat) on one of the topics in the syllabus (particularly on points 2. or 3.). If interested, please contact the lecturer in advance.
Texts
No further bibliography is required beyond the laboratory exercises, the study of tutorials and the exercises proposed in class.
Since this is a laboratory, attendance is strongly recommended.
