The course aims to deepen the criminal legislation on domestic violence. The ultimate goal is to provide students with a specialised knowledge of both the phenomenon and the criminal justice response, including its practical dimension.
Course Prerequisites
Prerequisites: criminal law. An adequate knowledge of criminal law is required.
Teaching Methods
The first part of the course will consist in lectures; different speakers will be involved. The second part of the course will consist of workshops. Cases will be examined and discussed under the guidance of a Public Prosecutor.
Assessment Methods
Students will be evaluated on the basis of their participation in the course; at the end, an oral interview will be held on the topics discussed in class.

Contents
The course is divided into two parts. The first part will be devoted to the study of the criminal law on domestic violence; special attention will be paid to the role of the different operators of the anti-violence networks. The second part will consist of workshops; students will be asked to actively participate in the handling of some practical cases.
