The course is aimed providing key concepts and basic tools of economics needed for understanding how economic systems work.
Course Prerequisites
No specific prerequisites are required: logical skills and basic mathematical knowledge acquired in upper secondary school, are sufficient. Some basic elements of math will be revised at the beginning of the course.
Teaching Methods
The course offers ex-cathedra lectures, tutoring and other teaching activities aimed to prepare and successfully pass the exam.
Assessment Methods
The exam is written and includes multiple choice questions and exercises. Erasmus and foreign students may write their written exam in English upon request.

The course will provide basic principles of microeconomics, including: consumer choices; decisions production and costs of production; demand and supply curves and market equilibrium; competitive markets; monopolistic competition; monopoly and oligopoly; employment and pricing of inputs
