The main objective of the teaching is to provide in-depth knowledge of the instruments tests in the neuropsychological field and their application in the clinical context. At the end of the course the student is expected to:
• Know the neuropsychological tests and batteries available in the Italian panorama, and their methods administration and correction;
• Knows how to carry out a medical history interview with the patient and the caregiver, investigating the relevant elements;
• Know how to set up a neuropsychological evaluation, critically choosing the tests to be administered relation to the cognitive functions to be explored;
•Know how to draw up a neuropsychological report, using specific language.

Teaching Methods
Lectures with active participation of the students in the critical analysis of the proposed material via Power Point projection on the screen, classroom exercises on real clinical cases and role playing during which will be simulated psychometrics tests addressed.

Contents
The TPV takes the form of contextualized and supervised practical activities, which involve direct observation and the execution of neuropsychological tests and batteries in order to develop the skills and abilities necessary for the exercise of the professional activity.
Specifically, we will discuss: - screening tests to evaluate global cognitive functioning (Mini Mental State Examination, Clock Drawing Test) - questionnaires for the evaluation of basic and instrumental autonomies (ADL, IADL) - tests for language evaluation (semantic fluency, phonemic fluency, Token Test, Sartori Visual Naming Test, Boston Naming Test) - tests to evaluate memory (Short story, Free and Cued Selective Reminding Test, Lists of semantically related and unrelated words, digit span forward and backward, Corsi Test) - test for the evaluation of visuo-constructive apraxia (Rey-Osterrieth complex figure, copy of simple geometric drawings test) - tests for the evaluation of attention (Attention Matrices, Trial Making Test, Stroop Test, Symbol Digit Modalities Test) - screening tests for frontal-executive functions (Frontal Assessment Battery) - tests for the evaluation of neglect (Albert Test, Bell Test)
