The course aims to develop advanced skills in the design and application of physical activity adapted to metabolic, cardiovascular, and respiratory pathologies, with particular attention to the effects of exercise on symptom control, improvement of functional and biohumoral parameters, and the quality of life of people with these conditions.
Course Prerequisites
A good knowledge of anatomy and human physiology—particularly exercise physiology and training theories—is necessary.
Teaching Methods
The course is organized into lectures delivered through presentations and discussion sessions. Several publications from indexed journals will also be presented, illustrating the latest findings on exercise therapy for the conditions listed.
Assessment Methods
The oral exam aims to assess the knowledge acquired regarding the pathophysiological foundations of the diseases under study, as well as the most appropriate methods for developing personalized exercise programs to improve clinical conditions, quality of life, and functional and biochemical parameters in the pathological conditions addressed in the course.
