The course aims to provide a knowledge base about the identification of the organisms (autotrophic and heterotrophic) responsible of the alteration of organic and inorganic materials and the related controlling procedures. In addition, the course aims to provide methodological criteria for addressing the removal or the control of organisms involved in the deterioration, with attention to plants and fungi. By understanding the mechanisms involved in the control of the deteriorations, this course will contribute to meet the goal #12 Responsible consumption and production of the Agenda 2030 for the Sustainable Development.
