1-Learn the basic notions for an initial assessment of a patient with particular attention to the execution of the joint and muscle examination. 2-Know how to independently carry out the basics of an initial assessment which includes inspection, palpation and observation of the patient. 3- Know how to independently carry out a joint assessment using the joint goniometer and/or image processing applications. 4- Know how to independently carry out a muscle assessment using tests and the MRC scale. 5- Teach the student at the beginning of the educational training internship.
Course Prerequisites
Study of body anatomy, with particular reference to the musculoskeletal system. Knowledge and in-depth study of the basics of the physiology of movement of the human body.
Teaching Methods
Theoretical and practical lessons. Tutorial or guided practice, Role Playing simulations, video clip, and cooperative learning.
Assessment Methods
Examination with ongoing tests, oral and practical tests. In case of mandatory distance learning, online exam. Score from insufficient to 30 cum laude.
