The main objective of this course is to provide basic knowledge of the administration of tests and evaluation questionnaires.
Secondary objective concerns the interpretation of the statistical aspects concerning the neuropsychological evaluation.
The final objective consists in learning specific intervention techniques for neuropsychological rehabilitation.
Expected learning outcomes.
At the end of the course students will be able to: a) administer the main tests and evaluation questionnaires during a neuropsychological evaluation; b) interpret the results obtained from tests and questionnaires; c) plan specific rehabilitation and cognitive stimulation interventions for the individual clinical case.
Course Prerequisites
Understanding the course topics requires students to possess the basic knowledge relating to neurocognitive disorders.
Teaching Methods
The course takes place through in-person lessons.
For each CFU (25 hours) there is: 2 hours of teaching in delivery mode (presentation of contents via slides, scientific papers and videos); 4 hours of interactive teaching (guided exercises, small group work between peers, role-play, critical discussion in a small group on topics provided by the teacher); 19 hours of self-study on the material provided by the teacher.
Particular attention will be dedicated to the theme of evaluation, with the presentation of video and paper material (in the form of observations, questionnaires, interviews) aimed at providing the student with the tools to learn the methods, requirements and rationale of the different evaluation tools of the field of neuropsychology.
Assessment Methods
Writing examination of the contents at the end of the course. Frequency al least 80% of the lessons.

Contents
Course contents provide: - quantitative and qualitative analysis of neuropsychological tests; - drafting of clinical intervention projects; - examples of participation in calls for research projects; - validation procedures of new neuropsychological tools; - definition of neuropsychological rehabilitation protocols using computerized tools.
The contents of the "Clinical and research aspects in neuropsychology" course will be addressed taking into consideration the ethical-deontological principles which, based on the specific theme, will be described in detail by the teacher, both from a theoretical point of view and with a direct connection to the practical activity (e.g. through the discussion of example cases).
