The class is aimed at familiarising students with the conceptual frameworks and the lexicon used in the scientific debate on the subject of general and social pedagogy, with specific reference to physical education and sports.
Course Prerequisites
Even if there are no particular prerequisites, in the awareness that many students will be approaching Education maybe for the first time during this course, for a proficient participation to the lessons students are expected to have a cultural attitude of willingness to listen, grasp and actively elaborate, discussing in a collaborative way, the theoretic and practical issues posed by pedagogical analysis.
Teaching Methods
All the professor's lessons aim at favouring dialogue and discussion in group work. The participation of other professors/researchers/experts with an interest in the course topic is possible.
Assessment Methods
Oral exam. Evaluation indicators: - knowledge of the basic texts of the exam programme; - ability to explain, in full autonomy, the silver thread that links some of the isseus presented in the basic texts, coherently with the exam programme; - ability to critically analyse and personally re-elaborate the issue proposed by the course; - clear and logically coherent presentation; - lexical accuracy.

Contents
Course title: Pedagogy of the body and education to corporeity: for a conscious understanding of the complexity of educational processes. Prof.ssa Claudia Lichene (6 CFU, 32 hours) - Prof.ssa Maria Paola Gusmini (2 CFU, 16 hours). The course will examine issues and problems connected to the education of corporeity, starting from a diachronic examination of programmes-guidelines-indications on the topic of "physical education" in the Italian school, up to a classification of the vast contemporary debate on the pedagogy of the body, intended as a critical analysis of methods of disciplining the body and a proposal for the analysis of the complexity of the individuation processes.
