Syllabus

Course Objectives

a) Provide the anatomical-surgical, anatomical-pathological and pathophysiological elements necessary for the understanding of the main surgical pathologies of gastroenterological pertinence;
b) Provide the cultural tools to build the diagnostic and diagnostic-differential paths of the main surgical pathologies of gastroenterological pertinence;
c) Illustrate the rationale and technical bases for the curative or palliative surgical treatment of the main gastroenterological pathologies.

Course Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of normal human anatomy, physiology, general pathology, surgical semiotics.

Teaching Methods

Frontal lessons in the classroom with ppt presentations.

Assessment Methods

The exam consists of an individual oral test, aimed at ascertaining the skills acquired in relation to the contents of the Course programme.
With an initial question on a specific topic covered in class, it will also be possible to explore other related topics to evaluate the level of depth and understanding of the subject and the ability to integrate the knowledge acquired as proof of the achievement of the training objectives of the Course itself.
The evaluation will also take into account the ability to communicate, correct linguistic knowledge, the use of appropriate scientific terminology, and the logical and consequential rigor of the presentation.
The final evaluation vote will be expressed in thirtieths.
