Assessment Methods

The exam for the integrated Nephrology and Urology course consists of a written test and an oral test. Written test: The test consists of 30 multiple-choice questions, divided as follows: 20 questions on Nephrology 10 questions on Urology Each question has 4 answer options, with only one correct answer. To qualify for the oral exam in both Nephrology and Urology, students must correctly answer at least 18 out of 30 questions. Passing the written test does not automatically guarantee promotion but allows access to the oral exam. Oral test: The oral exam will cover all topics addressed in the Nephrology and Urology course. The evaluation will be as follows: 18–24: sufficient knowledge of the subject, clear but basic presentation. 25–28: in-depth presentation, including references to pathogenesis, physiology, and pathology. 29–30 with honors: full mastery of the subject, ability to perform differential diagnosis among various diseases. The final grade will be calculated as the weighted average of the grades obtained in the two modules (Nephrology and Urology), based on their respective ECTS credits. The integrated Nephrology and Urology exam must be taken in the same exam session. If a student passes only one of the two modules (Nephrology or Urology), they may retake only the part not passed (oral exam) in the following two exam sessions, keeping the written test result valid for those two sessions. If the exam is taken after these two sessions, both parts (Nephrology and Urology) must be retaken.
