Evaluate and use information within the clinical decision-making process, break down and describe the cognitive need, find the necessary information through a comparative use of methods, strategies, resources and professional bibliographic tools, write a research paper determining its content and parts, citing correctly the sources through citations and bibliography, written according to the citation styles in the sector and through bibliographic managers, theoretical and practical knowledge of the functioning of the PICO system and its variants, search for information in the field of EBM.
Course Prerequisites
No prerequisites are required since the course is also aimed at students that are approaching document research processes for the first time in the university environment.

Frontal lessons, Discussions, Problem solving, Use of IT tools and interactive maps
Assessment Methods
The final assessment regarding the learning objectives will be determined accordingly to the total amount of partecipants. Through the oral presentation in the classroom, the following will be ascertained and assessed: -the ability to identify a cognitive need and subsequent analysis; -the ability to carry out professional bibliographic searches; -knowledge of bibliographic research tools; -the ability to read, comment and analyze sources and documents; -the clarity and effectiveness of the arguments used, -the organization of the contents and the ownership of the language.
