«Boulevard Solitude» di Hans Werner Henze. Una lettura intertestuale del libretto

The article analyses the intertextual references of the opera's libretto by Grete Weil to Catullus's «Liber», Alexandre Dumas's novel «La dame aux camélias», and Jean Genet's novel «Notre-Dame-des-Fleurs». The opera is placed in relation to Alban Berg's opera «Lulu», Billy Wilder's film «Sunset Boulevard», and Henri-Georges Clouzot's film «Manon». The concealed presence of the theme of homosexuality in the text is highlighted.
