Methods and Results of the International Design Workshop S.A.F.E. - Sustainable and Accessible Future for Everybody

The book describes methods and results of the International Design Workshop SAFE - Sustainable and Accessible Future for Everybody - held at the THM of Giessen (Germany) form 12th to 23rd September 2016. The workshop called students from the THM, the University of Pavia (Italy), the Universidad Central de Chile (Santiago, Chile) and the Izmir Institute of Technology (Turkey). Participants worked together divided into mixed teams of experts, with the main purpose of designing new sustainable, flexible and accessible houses and common spaces for refugees and users with special needs. The workshop activities included design laboratories, common experiences and specific lessons of professors, professionals and end-users, aimed at improving the participatory approach.
