Abstract:
Adamo Boari had been President of the College of Engineers and Architects of Ferrara
and this task had allowed him to analyze several projects for the city. He had also written
many articles to defend some design proposals that he himself had drawn up. Certainly, the
plans for the new Town Hall and the aqueduct reservoir are two incredibly significant examples.
In 1927 Adamo Boari entered the competition for the new United Nations site in Geneva.
This contribution describes and illustrates the main stages of these projects between Ferrara
and Geneva.
