Abstract:
This paper gives a review, within the contributions presented at the REM5 Conference, of the activity developed in the last years by the research Group of Nanotechnologies of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Padova University, in cooperation with Venice and Florence Universities, concerning the chemical and physical aspects of Au nanoparticles, formed by ion implantation in the silica matrix, applied in three different scientific areas: magnetism, optics and sensing. © 2013 Copyright Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
