Visible-Light-Driven Photocatalyst-Free Preparation of (Z) beta-Nitroacrylate Isomers

We herein report the visible light driven isomerization (E)-beta-nitroacrylates into the corresponding (Z) stereoisomers. The reaction occurs under both batch and continuous flow conditions and afford the desired isomer in quantitative yields.
