Il concetto di “violenza domestica” fra tutela dei diritti umani e sistema penale

The expression “domestic violence” is now widely used in Italian legislation and academic litera-ture; on closer inspection, however, it appears rather vague. In order to provide more clarity, after pointing out the roots of this concept, the Author analyses the main international sources, which address domestic violence. The investigation does not resolve the issues raised by its definition; however, it enables the Author to identify guidelines for future reflection.
