Narrowband UVB phototherapy for pediatric generalized pityriasis lichenoides.

From our data and literature review, phototherapy emerges as an important therapeutic option for Pytiriasis Lichenoides – effective, well tolerated by the child, and with few side effects– and should be considered a first-line therapy, especially in generalized cases.
Additional data, especially from studies performed to compare other treatments with phototherapy, as well as from studies about maintenance therapies, are needed.
