Per una nuova lettura del madrigale Aquila altera / Creatura gentile / Uccel di Dio di Jacopo da Bologna

The essay is divided in two parts. The focus of the first part is the genre statute of Trecento madrigal, from the first evidence of the early 14th century. In the second part it proposes a new reading of the Jacopo da Bologna’s madrigal Aquila altera/Creatura gentile/Uccel di Dio, by the interpretation of the intertextuality relathionship with the Dante’s poems; it reconsiders the textual tradition, the historical contextualization, and it proposes a new critical edition
