Contents

Programme and content The course will focus on a selection of topics studied in the cognitive sciences and the epistemology of cognition, with particular reference to the work and thought contribution of an author such as Ludwig Wittgenstein. The course aims to present, from a multidisciplinary perspective, the philosophically relevant aspects and philosophical arguments of Wittgenstein's classic lecture, which offers multiple directions for the development of cognitive sciences. Specifically, a number of research areas fundamental to the relationship between philosophy and science (with a focus on the cognitive sciences) will be examined in detail, focusing on the following issues:
1) Role and function of philosophy;
2) The construction of a scientific philosophy
