The course is intended to provide the most meaningful literature sources of the Modern Art History.
Course Prerequisites
An adeguate knowledge of the Italian Art and Literature from the 15th to the 18th century.
Teaching Methods
Lectures during which the literary and historiographical texts will be read and commented in relation to works of art.
Assessment Methods
Oral examination. Students must be able to discuss, analyse and comment the texts read during the course.

The course will consider the main works of the Italian Art Literature and Theory from Humanism to Enlightenmet, with a special focus on the artist's biography, strating from Giorgio Vasari.
