To acquire the scientific basic knowledge of nutrition in the context of a healthy approach and the consequences of a wrong diet. To critically evaluate claims concerning the adequacy of proposed diets.
Course Prerequisites
The student should have attended the courses and acquired the knowledge of biochemistry and physiology.
Teaching Methods
Frontal lessons. No practice exercise planned. Lessons will consist of Power Point presentation. All lessons will be available as pdf files in Kiro.
Assessment Methods
Exam sessions during the year. Before the end of the course all information will be given concerning the modalities of the tests and of their evaluation. The same information will be available in Kiro. In order to sustain the exam the student must have been present at least at half the lectures.
