At the end of the course the student will be able to read, comprehend and translate with the help of dictionaries texts from the Arabic media and to understand audiovisual journalistic material.
Course Prerequisites
The student must have passed the exam Arabic 2 and have a good knowledge of the Arabic verb system.
Teaching Methods
The teaching method will consist in lectures and activate participation of the students.
With regard to inclusive teaching methods, students who have been certified to be in the conditions required by the University regulations (https://portale.unipv.it/it/didattica/servizi-lo-studente/modalita-didattiche-inclusive) will be given guidance on preparing for the exam independently as well as availability for dedicated receptions.
Assessment Methods
The exam consists of written and oral tests. The written exam will consist in translation from Arabic and in grammar exercises. The oral exam will consist in a conversation with the mother tongue teacher. The use of dictionary is aloud.

Contents
The third module is focused on particular aspects of the verb (derived forms and weak verbs) and on a survey of the use of the accusative. Texts on contemporary Arabic society and in particular on human rights, minorities, reforms and contemporary culture will be read and analyzed, in addition to aural comprehension of journalistic material.
Part of the supplementary teaching hours will also be dedicated to learning the Moroccan dialect variety.
