Learning the basic physical principles of clinical diagnostic techniques based on the use of ionising radiation
Course Prerequisites
Radioactivity Atomic and Nuclear Structur Interaction of radiation with matter Radiation detectors
Teaching Methods
Lectures will be delivered by means of screen-based presentations and, if necessary, in-depth lectures on blackboard, with the possibility for students to intervene for clarification and/or discussion of topics. The lessons will be completed with specialist seminars and visits to the "Biomedical Imaging" laboratory of the Centro Grandi Strumenti (UniPV).
Assessment Methods
Oral interview designed to ascertain the skills acquired and the ability to rework the course content; during the test, priority will be given to discussing the physical aspects of the topics covered rather than the details of the mathematical derivations
