The course aims at providing students with the necessary tools in order to understand everyday situations and read more and more complex texts. The topics covered help to develop a specific vocabulary and to read and understand texts dealing with economic topics.
Course Prerequisites
Basic German language knowledge (A1*)
Teaching Methods
The main course will be complemented by exercises (Integrative teaching for the German language) given by linguistic experts appointed by the Language Centre. Their main goal is to develop lexical skills and improve speaking skills.
Assessment Methods
The exam is divided into a written test ( that evaluates comprehension, vocabulary and grammar skills.) and an oral exam. The written exam is valid for 12 months (= 6 sessions); the German Language oral exam should be taken during that time. The oral exam, which can only be taken after passing the written exam, consists of an interview speaking about the topics covered in class. If you have a German Certificate or Test-DaF (level C1 - issued by the Goethe Institute) it allows you to not take the written test. The students who do not attend classes must discuss adding further material to the programme with the professor.
