The course gives the opportunity to learn about the fundamental characteristics of international development cooperation. The main sources of data available, both of an economic and demographic nature, and the evolution of the notion of development up to the Sustainable Development Goals are examined. The main actors of international cooperation are presented: the United Nations system, the International Financial Institutions. The course offers an examination of the different types of financing for development from a perspective of social, economic and environmental sustainability.
