Basic knowledge of medieval and modern art history.
Teaching Methods
The course is taught in a blended format. Half of the lessons are available online asynchronously, while the other half are taught in presence. Detailed information will be available on the KIRO course page. The course includes lectures, focusing in particular on the analysis of images of works of art. The part of the course dedicated to writing the scientific entry will have a seminar character. Non-attending students must agree with the teacher to choose a work for which to write a scientific entry. Students who are authorized to benefit from inclusive/innovative teaching must contact the teacher to arrange specific meetings dedicated to them.
Assessment Methods
Oral examination. During the exam will also be discussed the scientific entry previously prepared by the student.

Contents
The philological analysis of works of art. In particular, the understanding of the material, stylistic and iconographic prerogatives of works of art will be illustrated, as well as research aimed at recognizing their original function and their story. A part of the course will focus on the writing of a scientific entry of a work of art.
