The course aims to enable students to acquire salutogenesis skills in maternity care integrated into the transition to midwifery continuity of care models, along with fundamentals of research methodology. In the course, students must be able to understand and define the care, educational, and relational content characterising maternity care, drawing on basic knowledge regarding the principles of salutogenesis, continuity of care, and research methodology.
Course Prerequisites
The recommended knowledge refers to the characterising disciplines of the 1st year 1st semester.
Teaching Methods
The course utilises lectures and case studies. PowerPoint presentations are used to conduct the lectures and are made available to students in the teaching section on the Moodle KIRO platform. Classroom exercises involve the practical application of the fundamentals of research methodology.
Assessment Methods
The test consists of an individual written test aimed at assessing the knowledge acquired, jointly to an oral test as a report of a group project, to highlight the skills acquired in relation to the course content. The final evaluation is carried out in thirtieths. It is based on the degree of depth and understanding of the topics presented, as well as the ability to integrate the knowledge acquired during the course.
