At the end of the course, registered trainees should know the pathophysiology, clinic, diagnosis and treatment of the main pathologies of the locomotor system and in particular of sports traumatology
Course Prerequisites
Knowledge acquired in the first year of the course is required, in particular: basic anatomy and biomechanics; use of the main tools used to administer physical exercise (rubber bands, free loads, strength and aerobics machines, functional training tools).
Teaching Methods
The course is organized into lectures delivered through presentations and discussion sessions. Several publications from indexed journals will also be presented, illustrating the latest findings on exercise therapy for the conditions listed.
Assessment Methods
The oral exam aims to assess the knowledge acquired regarding the pathophysiological foundations of the musculoskeletal disorders under study, as well as the most appropriate methods for developing personalized exercise programs to enable a rapid return to play for the athlete.
