The course will provide students with the theoretical and practical tools to understand, design, and conduct training programs aimed at developing conditioning and coordination skills in individual sports. The specific criteria that define a training program, proper periodization, and the various methods for different sports will be examined. The scientific principles governing adaptation to physical exercise, the structuring of training sessions, annual periodization, and the use of functional assessment tests will be explored in depth. Particular attention will be paid to methodologies for developing strength, endurance, and speed. Students will also acquire the skills to personalize training based on the athlete's individual characteristics (age, gender, level of preparation, health status), integrating aspects of injury prevention, performance optimization, and the promotion of psychophysical well-being. The course aims to provide a solid foundation for working in professional contexts related to competitive individual sports and advanced fitness, with an evidence-based and multidisciplinary approach. Understand the physiological and methodological principles underlying strength, endurance, speed, and mobility training in various individual sports; - Plan sessions and training cycles based on the athlete's specific goals and characteristics (age, gender, performance level); - Apply functional assessment protocols to monitor fitness and training effectiveness; independently perform initial fitness assessments, monitoring, and coaching to achieve agreed-upon final goals; - Know and apply the methodological criteria for the application of specific techniques and interventions. - Design, develop, and schedule personalized and sport-specific training plans.
