The course's primary objective is to explore the methodological pathway of physical activity and its specificities during old age, correlating it with all the physiological changes resulting from the aging process and the residual capacities of the elderly individual. Specifically, the effects of the aging process on the musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, and psychological and social aspects will be explored. Alongside the theoretical aspects, the course aims to provide students with the operational knowledge of basic physical activity for maintaining the independence of the elderly, as well as the information necessary for organizing and managing specific activities in various professional contexts.
