Deepening of language skills by learning the historical evolution of Latin (phonetic, morphology and syntax). The course will provide an adequate specimen of this development, through the examination and interpretation of texts from different historical periods to deepen the language skills and also to acquire teaching method
Course Prerequisites
Students must have previously passed the examination of Lingua e Letteratura latina (avanced course) and Letteratura latina 1 (avanced course).
Teaching Methods
Lectures: reading, commenting, and textual interpretation, with a review and deepening of diachronic morphosynthax
Assessment Methods
Oral text. First: Reading and linguistic interpretation of a few passages from the assigned texts. Second: Showing of the theoretical knowledge of the contents of the manual. Third: Methodology of historical-linguistic interpretation of the texts commented during the lectures.

Analysis of some relevant phonetic, morphological and syntactic elements of Latin language in diachronic perspective.

If this exam allows the student to have 18 credits in the area of Latin , the written Latin language test must be passed.
