Introduction to the knowledge and the main topics of the Medieval Greek literature, (or Byzantine literature)
Course Prerequisites
Good knowledge of Italian language. Basic knowledges related to the cultural history of the classical, late-ancient and medieval western civilization
Teaching Methods
Lectures. Literary sources in Italian translation will be read and commented during the lessons; specific topics will be treated in depth
Assessment Methods
Oral examinations. Students will be asked to discuss at least one of the main topics related to Byzantine culture and literature and one of the sources read and commented during the lessons
