HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) is an exam that measures the ability of people to use the Chinese language who are not native speakers. The test is administered by Hanban, an agency of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.

A minimum of forty hours of language study is required.

Assessment Methods
The exam consists of a written test and an oral test. It is possible to take the oral exam only after passing the written test. The duration of the written test is 2 hours. The use of the dictionary is not permitted for any test.

The course is divided into two compulsory modules, Chinese 1 (second semester) and Chinese 2 (first semester) of six credits each. There is also a third optional module, Chinese 3 (second semester) of six credits. Constant attendance at lessons and supplementary teaching activities is required.
