An introduction to literary Hispanic studies by the historical and critical exam of a wide choice of literary texts of XVIIIth-XXth centuries: from the reading and the analysis of the anthologized texts, students will have the opportunity to know and follow the developments of Spanish literature from the beginning of the eighteenth century until the second half of the twentieth century. At the end of the course the student will have to be able to analyze a literary text noting the elements that correlate it to the cultural context of reference.
Course Prerequisites
Cultural skills acquired during Italian High School (or equivalent). 2 terms of Spanish Language (or equivalent).
Teaching Methods
Lectures, alternating historical-cultural overviews and reasoned presentation of the literary texts.
Assessment Methods
Oral examination in Italian (but the anthological texts should be prepared in Spanish). The student should be able to translate and comment on the anthology texts, which will be framed in the Spanish literary landscape of the XVIII-XX centuries.
